MEET THE COACHES

Meet Coach Michael, he’s called himself a runner since the age of 10 when he completed his first ‘run to the pier without stopping’. Now with personal best times of 15mins for 5km, 33mins 10km, 1hr12 half marathon and 2hr37 marathon, he’s competed at National Championships and has run most major fun run events in Australia.

His passion for running extended into coaching just after leaving high school and he has been building his experience ever since. Guiding the likes of weekend joggers, experienced marathoners, school athletes and AFL players, Michael has personally coached over 450 runners.

Coach Michael’s biggest thrill of coaching is helping people achieve something for the first time.

Meet Coach Nathan, he’s been running for around 15 years at local, state, national and even international level, representing Australia at the World Junior Cross Country Championships. Mostly competing in events from 1500m - 10km, his best times are 3km (8:19) and 5km (14:26).
Nathan has also had success in trail running, competing for Australia at the World Mountain Running Championships three times and has raced in the US.

Nath is an Athletics Australia accredited coach, has worked at a running store and now for Garmin.

Meet Coach Jordan, he completed his first marathon in 2021 and has completed one each year since, improving his best time from 3hr49 to 3hr19 (and the best is yet to come). He has immersed himself in the running world leading run clubs for Mr West Bottleshop (where he previously worked as a bartender) and Movement Culture Gym. Jordan also works as a Store Manager at The Running Company Yarraville.

Jordan is an Athletics Australia accredited coach with the lived experience of being a ‘non-runner’ to a very quick and passionate one.
